Beach questions, answered
Which beaches are near Longboat Key Vacation Rentals?
Six are within a short walk or drive of our residences: Beer Can Island and the Longboat Key beach accesses on Longboat Key itself, Longboat Key Club Beach, Lido Beach and South Lido Park on Lido Key, and Coquina Beach to the north. Most of our residences at Beachplace, Club Longboat and Islands West have private beach access with chairs and umbrellas included.
Do your rentals have private beach access?
Many do. The condominium communities we manage in, including Beachplace, Club Longboat, Islands West, Seaplace and others, have private beach access, and most include chairs and umbrellas set out for guests. Each residence page lists its own amenities.
Is Lido Beach walkable from St. Armands Circle?
Yes. Lido Beach sits just west of St. Armands Circle, which is why our St. Armands and Lido Key residences suit guests who want dining and shopping on foot as well as the Gulf.
Which Longboat Key beach is quietest?
The Longboat Key beach accesses are generally the quietest of the six, being residential rather than park beaches. Beer Can Island at the north end is popular with boaters. South Lido Park and Coquina Beach have more facilities and correspondingly more visitors.
When is the best time of year for the beach on Longboat Key?
The Gulf beaches face west, so sunsets are the draw year-round. January through April is peak season and books earliest. Our winter minimum stays run longer for that reason. Summer and early autumn are quieter, warmer, and where our shorter minimum stays and Sarasota Summer discount apply.
